CHFS operates the Beacon Center for Arts & Leadership in partnership with JHS 291K, right in the heart of Bushwick, Brooklyn. This partnership allows the school to become a resource for the entire community providing free programming for all ages throughout the year.

What We Do
The Beacon Center for Arts & Leadership offers programming that reflects the needs and interests of the community, through free after-school, summer, and adult evening programs. Offerings incorporate educational and academic skills building, arts education, health & wellness, career awareness, and civic involvement, engaging participants in a well-rounded experience. Through their participation individuals become more active leaders within the community.
Who We Help
The Beacon Center for Arts & Leadership serves the surrounding Bushwick community members starting at the middle school level up through adulthood.
