What We Do
CHFS and school staff work together with students and families, to address the barriers that impact students’ ability to attend school on a daily basis. Student success is achieved through participation in targeted services such as art therapy, success mentorships, after school activities, and school community events. Through participation students are physically, emotionally, and socially prepared to overcome barriers, attend school daily, and thrive academically.
Who We Help
Our Community Schools program serve those students and families in partnering schools. Our current partnering schools are Pan American International High School in East Elmhurst, Queens and JHS 291K Roland B. Hayes in Bushwick, Brooklyn.
Registration Process
Students in one of our partnering schools who want to receive services, can contact the Community School Director at your school for more information.
